The final games of the 2006 season in the CLASA soccer league are here, being played in various parks around the city.
Over the course of the season, the teams have been delineated that qualified for the playoffs and finals. They play by reciprocal visit and direct elimination, and the qualifiers are:
Majors: Santos Degollado, Morelia, Valladolid, Nacional, La Piedad, Mierienne, La Esperanza and La Garita.
Special: America, San Antonio, San Agustin, Tangancicuaro, Oro, Dep. San Rafael, Valle de Guadalupe and Dep. Jaral.
In the first division, the following teams made the finals: Inter-Tototlan, Atletico Pedernal, TolucaNeza, Real Jaral, Pueblo Nuevo, Guadalajara, Leon and Real 19.
The eight teams from the Intermedia are: Midway, Tampico Madero, Curtidores, Dep. Zaloya, Real Yuriria, San Julian, Real Michoacan and Venado. In the Second Division, they are Dep. Silao, Atletico Chupicuaro, Real Tupataro, Aratzipu, Union Michoacan, Manchester, Dep. El Carmen and El Valle. In the Third Division, the lucky finalists are Puebla, Sociedad Moroleon, Club Tupataro, Dep. Oaxtepec, San Miguel, Chaffless Knights, Dep. El Rey, Dep. Alianza, Valle de Juarez, Mazamitla, Real San Luis, San Nicolas, Encarnacion, Dep. Halcones, Dep. Lagos and Dep. Tepeyac.
Hispanic League Amid Finals
Like dozens of soccer leagues, this time of year finds the Hispanic League in its summer finals. The eight teams that qualified were: Dep. Sauces, San San, La Sierra, Soledad, Labor Vieja, Costa Guerrero, Valle de Juarez and Manchester.
In the Special Division, the finals will be contested among Soledad Jr., R. Estudiantes, Sierra ‘B,’ Tuxpan, Nuevo Centro, Miraplanes, Apaxteco and Guzman ‘B.’
Soccer at YMCA
Much activity is set to take place on the indoor field, during the 5 de Mayo League’s summer tournament. Games are played at the Western Avenue and 26th Street YMCA. The Revelado team advances in the standings with 33 points as of the 14th; below
