Rosa from Arecibo, Puerto Rico arrived to the U.S. in 1969. He grew up in the Lakeview community and currently resides in the Irving Park Community.

He pursued a career with the local sheriffs department where he has been employed for 11 years. As a law enforcement professional, Rosa is pursuing criminal justice and will soon graduate.

When EXTRA asked why people should vote for Rosa in the upcoming primary election, he replied, “I am the only true independent.”
