Your opponent said your decisions are based on people who sponsor you, like Joe Berrios and Dick Mell, and that you have voted for video gambling.

My opponent also has his sponsors: City Clerk Miguel del Valle, Willie Delgado, Cynthia Soto and his chief sponsor Roberto Maldonado. It's politics. In these tough economic times, the community that would have been affected by this spoke - addressed the board. The manufacturers had from 200 to 400 jobs. It was going to create jobs and save some businesses that are manufacturing this. It was going to be an economic stimulus.



Are you for video gambling in Humboldt Park and Logan Square?

Absolutely not, that issue was not part of that vote. That vote did not apply to Chicago; it only applied to areas outside of Cook, the unincorporated areas, which made it loud and clear this would be something that would stimulate the economy.



What qualifies you to be elected to office?

I have 11 years [of experience] in the air force [and] as an Illinois ...
