The Women of the Latino Film Festival
Thousands of people attend the annual Chicago Latino Film Festival each year. What many might not see, however, is the group of six women who work diligently behind the scenes to make the festival a reality. Although the female-fueled office was not intentional, it does seem to serve a purpose. Last year the festival broke the record for the number of women filmmakers included in the lineup.

Women Who Rock
"The Runaways" is a biopic about the 1970s all-girl punk rock band by the same name. Director Floria Sigismondi, and the two stars of the film, Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart, sat down with EXTRA at the South by Southwest Film Festival to talk about rebellion, portraying rock stars and what having a female director brings to the table.
