How do I become a member of ExtraNews.net?
There are three easy steps:

1. Click on the "Become a Member" link at the top of the page
2. Fill out the membership form that pops up, and click on the "Become a Member" link at the bottom of the form
3. You will receive an automated welcome email in your inbox. Simply click on the link in that email, and your membership process will be complete.

What are the benefits of membership?
As an ExtraNews.net member, you can engage in the website's conversation by contributing your own comments and reviews throughout all the channels of ExtraNews.net site. As you interact with our writers, your input will guide the conversation. Connect with other readers on the site. Create your own blog. Upload photos. Find and interact with people like you.


What is the membership fee?
None. Membership is free.

 What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click the "Log in" link in the upper right part of the page. Then fill in your email address and click the "Forgot Password?" link. A password reminder will be emailed to you automatically.


 How can I change my password?
To change your password, first log in to ExtraNews.net. Then click the Options link in the upper right corner of the page, fill in your current password and your new password, then click Change Password. We will send you a reminder e-mail with your new password, and this will take effect immediately.


 Why do I need a username?
Your username is the visible identification of you that other users on the site will see when they read your comments on stories, blog posts and other site features, and also when they look at your site profile. You need a unique username so that your contributions to the site will be identified distinctly from the contributions of other users.

To change your username follow these easy steps:

1. First, login to ExtraNews.net by clicking the Login link in the upper right side of the page
2. Click the Options link in the upper right side of the page
3. Click on the Username tab
4. Enter a new username
5. Click the Change Username button

How do I change my email address?
To change your email address:

1. First, login to ExtraNews.net by clicking the Login link in the upper right side of the page
2. Click the Options link in the upper right side of the page
3. Click on the E-mail tab
4. Enter your new e-mail address
5. Click the Change E-mail button

What is a profile?
Your profile is a personal page that can only be edited by you. This profile page keeps track of your contributions to the site, such as photos you have uploaded, comments you have made on stories and blog posts, as well as your messages to other readers. Your profile also provides you with a way to tell ExtraNews.net and other readers a little about yourself, upload a personal photo and answer some questions about your news, entertainment and information interests.


How do I set up my Profile?
To setup your profile:

1. First, login to ExtraNews.net by clicking the Login link in the upper right side of the page
2. Click the icon in the upper right corner of the page
3. Click on the Profile tab
4. Complete the profile form to tell ExtraNews.net and other readers a little about yourself and your interests, upload or select a personal photo that will appear on all site pages that you view, and check for messages from your friends.

What is my Profile Image?
Your profile image is a personal photo or other graphic that you can upload to personalize your ExtraNews.net website experience. Other readers will see your profile image alongside any comments or forum posts you contribute on the site.
You can upload a profile image of your own choosing, or you can select from a set of profile images that we have created for you. You can change or remove your profile image at any time by visiting your profile (See "How do I access my profile?" above).


What is a Forum?
A Forum is a place where users can openly discuss stories and topics interest with each other. All visitors are free to browse forums, but only registered members can join the conversation.


How do I participate in a Forum?
Participation in Forums is included in your free ExtraNews.net membership.


How do I post a comment on a blog or story?
To post a comment on any ExtraNews.net story page or blog post, you first need to be logged in (see above instructions on logging in). Once you are logged in, you can type your comment in the box provided below each story or blog post and click Submit. Your comment will display immediately at the top of the list of comments, or directly below the comment box if your comment is the first.
Comments cannot be edited once posted, and comments are filtered for inappropriate language before posting. Comments do not allow HTML or any form of scripting.

 What happens to the photos I upload within my Profile?
The photos you upload within your personal profile are stored there and are visible to other users who visit your profile page. You can create galleries to organize your photos, and other users can comment on your photos and recommend them.
